Comparison
Ylopo and EMG agree on something important: your leads should be yours, not shared with other agents. The difference is how they are generated. Ylopo runs mostly on paid ads. EMG builds the organic side too, so leads keep coming when the ad budget pauses.
Ylopo is a real estate marketing platform built mainly around paid social and Google ads, IDX search sites, and remarketing, with a monthly platform fee plus your own ad spend. EMG is a marketing and media company that builds your Google Business Profile, SEO, AEO, social media, and YouTube presence, and runs ads when they fit, so your visibility does not depend on ad spend alone.
At a glance
Both give you exclusive leads. The difference is where those leads come from and what you keep when spending stops.

How it works
Ylopo gives agents and teams branded IDX search websites, then drives traffic to them with paid social and Google ads. Its follow-up tools text and call new leads and re-engage old contacts in your database. The Complete tier adds managed Google Local Services Ads.
Ylopo does not publish prices. Its pricing page says cost scales with the size of your database, not the number of seats, and its example assumes $3,000 a month in ad spend. Independent reviewers report packages starting around $795 a month, with add-ons on top. Older reviews mention a setup fee and an ad management surcharge, but those figures may be outdated.
Ylopo does not include its own CRM, so most teams connect it to a separate CRM such as Follow Up Boss.

The trade-offs
Most public reviews of Ylopo are positive, especially about service. The agents who look elsewhere usually mention these trade-offs.
The platform fee, ad spend, add-ons, and a separate CRM all stack. Independent reviews list total cost as the most common concern.

When paid ads are the main engine, pausing the budget pauses the leads. Nothing compounds the way rankings and reviews do.
Reviewers note some leads give fake details or are months away from buying, which is typical of paid social traffic.

Reviewers report agents cannot fully customize ads or ad copy, and organic search is not a core strength.

"None of them cover everything: website, Google Business Profile, Google, AI platforms, social media, and YouTube. We build all of it, so you are seen everywhere and win more leads without having to spend more money."

Being fair
Ylopo is not a bad option for everyone. For some businesses, at some stages, it is the right one.
Teams with thousands of past contacts and Follow Up Boss in place can get real value from Ylopo's re-engagement tools and paid lead flow.
If you have budget for both the platform and the ad spend, Ylopo gives you branded, exclusive paid leads without portal splits.
Ylopo and EMG can also work side by side. Some teams keep Ylopo for paid lead flow and have us build the organic side: Google, SEO, AEO, social, and YouTube. As Harrison puts it: "Buying leads keeps you busy right now. Building your own system keeps you busy forever."
The EMG difference
Paid ads are one channel. We build the whole system, so you show up on Google, in AI answers, on social, and on YouTube, whether or not an ad is running.
A fast site in your name with pages for every neighborhood and service you offer, built to rank and to turn visitors into conversations.
Fully built out and posted to every week so you show up in the map pack when people search for an agent near them.
SEO that ranks your pages for the searches buyers and sellers make before they ever open a portal.
AEO so tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews can find you, trust you, and recommend you by name.
Weekly posting and short-form video that keeps you top of mind with your sphere and your farm.
Market updates, neighborhood tours, and how-to videos that build trust long before the first call.
We start with your market, your margins, and your goals, then decide which channels to build first. No packaged campaign copied from the last client.
Every call, form, and message comes to you because someone found you. No other business gets the same lead, so you compete on trust, not on who dials fastest.
Results
One agent we work with moved to a new market with no sphere and no leads. Here is what an owned system produced.
Making the switch
You do not have to quit cold turkey. Most of our clients run both for a while, then shift spend as their own system takes over.
With Ylopo, you pay the platform fee plus your ad spend. With EMG, you pay only for the services you choose, and ads are optional.
For example, SEO and AEO ($1,497) plus Google Business Profile ($497) is $1,994 a month, or $1,795 with the 10 percent two-service bundle discount, with no required ad spend. Add ads management ($997 a month or 15 percent of spend, whichever is higher) when paid ads make sense for your market.
Every EMG service is month to month with a 60-day notice to cancel. Bundles of 2, 3, or 4 or more monthly services save 10, 15, or 20 percent. Ad spend, if you run ads, is paid directly to Google or Meta.
