Podcast and Livestream Production for Business Owners

Host one weekly show. We produce it, clip it, brand it, and publish it everywhere your buyers spend time. It is the same system behind a media network that grew from zero followers to millions of views.

Published pricing. No contracts, 60-day notice to cancel.

Should a local business start a podcast?

A podcast or livestream works for a local business when it is treated as a content engine, not a hobby. One weekly show can produce dozens of short clips, posts, and articles, keep you in front of your market every day, and build trust with clients and referral partners. Evolution Media Group produces and distributes the whole show for you.

The problem

Why do most business podcasts stop after a few episodes?

Starting a show is easy. Keeping it going, and getting anyone to watch, is where most owners give up.

All the work lands on the host

Booking guests, recording, editing, uploading, and promoting a show takes more hours than most owners have. Within a couple of months, episodes slip.

Long episodes nobody finds

A 45 minute episode posted once, in one place, reaches only the people who already follow you. New audiences find shows through short clips.

No format

Shows without recurring segments and a clear point of view all sound the same. Formats are what make people come back next week.

Audio only

Audio-only shows miss the platforms where local buyers actually spend time. Video turns one recording into content for every feed.

No link to the business

A show that never mentions what you do, or how to reach you, builds an audience that never becomes customers.

Judged too early

Shows compound. The first ten episodes are practice, and most owners quit right before the format clicks.

How it works

How does podcast and livestream production work, step by step?

This is the system we run every week for the Rounding Third Media Network, adapted for your business.

  1. Show strategyWe define who the show is for, what it promises, how long episodes run, and how it connects to your business. A real estate show might cover the local market every week. A contractor show might answer homeowner questions. A lender show might explain rates and programs in plain English.
  2. Format and segmentsRecurring segments give every episode a structure and give the audience something to look forward to. On Rounding Third, segments like "Say What?", a quote-guessing game, and "Technically Correct: Baseball Explained Badly", a four-clue trivia round, became audience favorites.
  3. Set and brandingWe design show graphics, segment slides, lower thirds, and thumbnails. For vertical livestreams, we lay out a 16:9 slide in the middle band with the hosts below, so the stream reads well on a phone.
  4. Record or go liveYou record in your office or go live on Facebook and YouTube. We give you a setup checklist and a run sheet for each episode so you never wonder what comes next.
  5. Edit and clipWe edit the full episode, then use transcript-based editing in Descript to find the strongest 30 to 60 second moments. A person reviews and chooses every clip, because automation suggests and people decide.
  6. Caption and packageClips get vertical framing, captions, and segment branding. Full episodes get titles, descriptions, chapters, and thumbnails.
  7. Distribute and reportClips go out through the week, full episodes go out weekly, and every piece points back to your offer. We report monthly on views, reach, engagement, and leads.

Content multiplier

How much content does one weekly show produce?

Slide to choose how many episodes you record each month. The counts below use our standard cut from each episode, which you can adjust with us.

Standard cut per episode: 1 full video episode, 8 short clips, 2 quote graphics, 1 blog article, and 1 email.

32short clips
4full episodes
8quote graphics
4blog articles
52pieces of content a month, about 1.7 a day

Grade your show

What does a well-run business show look like?

Use this list to grade a show you already have, or as the standard for the one we build.

  • A one-sentence promise of who the show is for and what they get
  • A consistent day and time every week
  • Recurring segments the audience recognizes
  • Recorded on video, not audio only
  • Clean audio, with a microphone for every voice
  • Branded graphics and thumbnails that look like one show
  • Several short clips cut from every episode
  • Distribution all week, not one post a week
  • A clear mention of what you do and how to reach you
  • Monthly review of which segments and clips perform

Proof

What can a weekly show turn into?

The Rounding Third Media Network began as a two-host baseball show with zero followers and no playbook.

Today it is a fan-first media network with multiple shows, recurring segments, and partner talent shows. Its weekly livestreams are clipped every day and published on Facebook and YouTube, deliberately only those two platforms, so every piece of effort goes where the audience is.

In the 12 months ending October 31, 2026, Rounding Third earned 61.2 million Facebook views and 4.4 million engagements, and grew to 46,700 followers. On YouTube it has published 4,494 videos and passed 2.54 million lifetime views. Read the full Rounding Third case study.

Rounding Third was co-founded by EMG founder Harrison Smith. EMG runs its production, distribution, and growth. Sources: Meta page insights for Facebook and vidIQ for YouTube.

Show ideas

What kind of show should a local business host?

The best business shows serve the same people you want as clients. A few formats that fit our industries:

Real estate

The weekly market show

What sold, what is coming, what it means for buyers and sellers in your town. Add a "Price It Right" segment where viewers guess sale prices. Pairs well with real estate marketing.

Contractors

The homeowner Q&A

Answer real homeowner questions live: costs, permits, timing, and what to watch out for. A "Fix or Replace?" segment works for almost any trade.

Mortgage and insurance

The plain-English money show

Rates, programs, coverage, and claims explained without jargon. Invite local agents and builders as guests to build your referral network on air.

Any owner-led brand

The local leaders show

Interview other business owners in your market. Every guest shares the episode with their audience, and every interview builds a relationship.

Weekly cycle

What does a weekly production cycle look like?

A show only works if it runs like clockwork. This is the weekly rhythm we use, and the one your show will follow.

DayWhat happensWho
Before the showRun sheet with topics, segment content, and slides is ready and approvedEMG, with your input
Show dayYou record or go live, following the run sheetYou and your guests
Day 1 afterFull episode edited, clip candidates marked from the transcriptEMG
Day 2 afterA person reviews and picks the clips, then captions and brands themEMG
Day 3 afterFull episode published with title, description, chapters, and thumbnailEMG
Rest of the weekClips publish through the week, comments are answered, and leads are routed to follow-upEMG and your automation
MonthlyReview of which segments and clips performed, and planning for next monthEMG and you

The point of the cycle is that your only fixed commitment is showing up to host. Everything that usually kills a show in month two, from editing to scheduling to remembering to post, runs without you. If you know a busy stretch is coming, we help you batch record ahead so the show never goes dark.

Timeline

What should you expect in months 1, 3, and 6?

Month 1

Launch

Show strategy, format, segments, branding, and a setup checklist. The first episodes are recorded, edited, clipped, and distributed.

Month 3

Find the format

Twelve or more episodes and hundreds of clips live. Segment and clip data show what the audience wants more of, and we adjust.

Month 6

A media asset

A recognizable show, a growing audience, a library of clips, and guests and partners asking to be on it.

Audience growth depends on your market, format, and consistency. We report what moved and why every month.

Measuring success

How do you measure whether a show is working?

Downloads alone do not tell you much. We look at reach, attention, and business results together.

StageMetricWhat it tells us
ReachViews and people reached across platformsWhether clips are finding new audiences
AttentionWatch time and live viewers per episodeWhether the format holds people
CommunityComments, shares, and followersWhether people care enough to come back
RelationshipsGuests, partners, and referrals from the showWhether the show builds your network
BusinessLeads, calls, and clients who mention the showWhether the show pays for itself

Common mistakes

What podcast mistakes should business owners avoid?

Starting with equipment

Owners buy a studio before they have a format.

Fix: start with good microphones and a phone or webcam, and upgrade once the show is working.

Episodes with no structure

Rambling conversations lose viewers fast.

Fix: use a run sheet with an opener, two or three segments, and a closing call to action.

Posting the full episode only

Most people will never watch 45 minutes from someone they do not know yet.

Fix: lead with clips and let the best ones pull people into full episodes.

Being on every platform

Spreading thin means doing nothing well.

Fix: pick the two platforms where your buyers are and dominate them, the way Rounding Third focuses on Facebook and YouTube.

Never asking for anything

A show that never mentions your business is a hobby.

Fix: one natural mention per episode and a link in every description.

Inconsistent schedule

Missing weeks breaks the habit for both the audience and the algorithm.

Fix: batch record when you know a busy stretch is coming.

Questions

Podcast and livestream questions

How much does podcast production cost?

Podcast and livestream production is part of our Network package at $2,997 a month. It includes a weekly show produced end to end, clips from every episode, and everything in Authority: 2 long-form YouTube videos and 6 short videos a week. It is month to month.

Should my show be a podcast or a livestream?

It depends on your audience and comfort. Livestreams build community and real-time engagement. Recorded shows give you more control. Many shows do both: they stream live and publish the edited episode after.

Do I need a studio?

No. A quiet room, a microphone for each person, a camera or good webcam, and decent light are enough to start. We send a setup checklist and help you upgrade when it makes sense.

How long should episodes be?

Long enough to deliver the promise and no longer. Many business shows land between 20 and 45 minutes. Clips do most of the reach work, so episode length matters less than structure.

Do I need guests?

No, but guests help. Referral partners, clients, and local business owners make great guests, and each one shares the episode with their own audience.

Which platforms should my show be on?

Pick the two where your buyers spend the most time and do them well. For most local businesses that means Facebook and YouTube, the same two Rounding Third focuses on.

How much of my time does a weekly show take?

About an hour or two a week to record or go live, plus a few minutes to approve the plan. We handle editing, clips, graphics, publishing, and reporting.

Who owns the show?

You do. The show, the channels, the episodes, and every file are yours, whether or not you keep working with us.

Can you repurpose episodes I already recorded?

Yes. If you have a back catalog, we review it, pull the strongest moments into clips, and refresh titles and descriptions. Old episodes often supply weeks of short-form content while the new format launches.

Can you run a network with multiple shows?

Yes. That is exactly what we do for the Rounding Third Media Network, including partner talent shows. Ask us on a strategy call.

Host the show. We will handle the rest.
